The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 62/3 + 79 + 218/9 & 272. Prior to the war he was a carpenter of Richmond Vic. He enlisted 9th Feb 1916 aged 19 years. He served with the 8th Infantry Battalion. During this service he was awarded a Distinguished Conduct Medal for the activities that he did. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 2nd June 1919.
