On completion of his duties during WWII, H.B. Pridmore spent time working as Storeman at the Daws Road Military Hospital (now known as Daws Road Repat Hospital).
McLaren Vale Bowling Club (lawn bowls), located on the Main Road of McLaren Vale, is on land which was gifted to them by Hugh Bowen Pridmore and his wife, Mary Adele Pridmore. Whilst Hugh was deployed on his first deployment (Egypt), they voted him back in as President despite his phusical absence. He was President there 1st April 1938 to 31st March 1941.
Upon return from his WWII service with 2/27, H.B. Pridmore became a member of the McLaren Vale RSL and subsequently President of the McLaren Vale RSL on two separate occasions: Jan 1945 - Dec 1950 and Jan 1952 - Dec 1954.
