Son of Mr and Mrs Robert WHELAN of 136 Senate Road, Port Pirie, SA
Resided 15 Lily Street, Ellendale, Port Pirie, SA, Robert was edcuated in Scotland at St. Mary's, Hamilton. He was fond of boxing and enlisted in the AIF in April 1940. Robert has been serving in the Middle East and was wounded in Syria.
