Son of Mr and Mrs Moses WILSON of Liverpool, England.

Robert was educated at a college in Liverpool before he moved to Australia. Married with three daughters prior to enlistment in May 1939, the family were residing at 112 Broadway Road, Port Pirie.  Very fond of cricket and football, Robert was a clerk in civil life.  He served in the Middle East, Palestine and the Syrian Campaign.  Major Wilson served in the Merchan Navy in the Great War.
