Hercules Xavier Norman WALDRON was born in Norwood, South Australia on 10th December, 1902

His parents were Norman WALDRON & Bessie McLAREN

He married Charlotte Grace Agnes BOWDEN in St Pauls Church, Port Adelaide on 8th August, 1925

He died on 31st December, 1979, last abode was at Largs North, WA and is buried in the Cheltenham Cemetery in Adelaide

In order to enlist, Norm had to lie about his birth date.

While on active service overseas he received an award from the Royal Humane Society for saving a drowning boy in the Port River, Port Adelaide in 1940.  This was presented to his daughter at Government House, Adelaide in his absence.
