Once again he lied about his age
When Clem was 16 he forged his mother's signature to allow him to sign up for WW1.
She found out and he was discharged (The piece of paper is held on record somewhere here.
In 1940 Clem signed up again but lied about his Place of Birth (Gladstone S.A. not Gladstone QLD) and Date of Birth (18/11/00 not 18/11/06) this time.
He was found to have had TB and was again discharged.
He was the greatest man I ever knew.
