MISS MARY MALE is a Murray Bridge girl, who trained at Wakefield Street Private Hospital. She did nursing at country hospitals before returning to Wakefield street, where she has been X-ray and assistant theatre sister prior to enlisting.
Captain Male served in the Australian Army Nursing Service for 2175 days: 1188 days in active service within Australia, including time within the Northern Territory (12/12/43 - 3/11/44) and 893 days in service overseas, including the Middle East (15/4/40 - 17/3/42) and New Guines (12/6/45 - 19/12/45).
