Son of Charles Edward BROWN, 'Gladwyns' New South Head Road, Double Bay, New South Wales
Cam married Mary Maclaine MORRISON from Winton in 1923, and they had one son, Ken and a daughter Fiona who died in 1932 as an infant. He had come to the Winton district after the war and was employed at Mahrigong Station. In about 1927 he became manager of Oondooroo Station, which he managed for 18 years for Ramsay Bros.
He moved to the McKinlay district in 1945 when Ramsay Bros relinquished Oondooroo to the governemnt for closer settlement, but returned in 1947. In partnership with Mrs. Madge Lindsay, wife of J.H. Lindsay, he acquired the Daintree and Dendron leases. He later bought the adjoining Glencoe West when the term of the original drawer expired.
Cam took an active part in Winton district affaris, in particular the Winton Club and the racing industry. he was a member of several picnic race clubs and an active participant as owner, trainer and rider at amateur and cornfed meetings. In 1973 he sold Daintree to Collins Bros and retired to Townsville. He died in 1984.
