His parents were Peter GORRIE & Janet Howatson YOUNG who married in Adelaide, SA on 12th April, 1912

He married Ilma Beatrice Leviny THOMPSON (Known as Judy) in the Presbyterian Church in Castlemaine, Victoria on 2nd November, 1940 - one daughter Alison Janet GORRIE
