Victor Stephan Breynard (SX138) was born on 27 March 1910 in Brompton, South Australia. He served on continuous full-time war service in the A.I.F. from 20/10/39 to 28/11/1945 for a total effective period of 2232 days, which included active service in Australia for 688 days and active service O/S Australia 1347 days. He served overseas in England from May 5, 1940, to February 27, 1943, in New Guinea from October 10, 1943, to March 21, 1944, and in Morotai, Indonesia, from April 26, 1945, to September 26, 1945. He was promoted to the Specialist Group 2 on 11th April 1940.
