Son of Rebecca and Albert E FIELD, 'Vertis' 36 Hardy Street, South Ashfield, NSW
Edgar served in Egypt, Gallipoli and France where he was wounded 26 June 1916 at Bois Grenice and invalided to Chatham Hospital England afterwards having six months' light duty in England. He returned to France December 1916.
