His parents were Robert Bingley SCHOLEFIELD & Amy Elizabeth Thompson DURIE

He married Dorothy May STURDY in Victoria in 1938 - one daughter Anne

He was taken prisoner of war of the Japanese on 29th March, 1943 and died in Ranau, Borneo on 18th July, 1945 of Illness - no known grave
