Son of Mr and Mrs Sydney E HARMER of 106 Three Chain Road, Solomontown, SA. Married with one son, Sydney was educated at the Solomontown School. He was a champion swimmer and took part in and won many events. In civilian life he had been a moulder at Forgan's, Port Pirie. He enlisted in June 1941.
His wife Isabel HARMER was living at 163 Botany Road, Botany, NSW
