Biography contributed by Sharyn Roberts

Son of Charles and Maria BRIGHT of Alpha Road, Willoughby, NSW

BRIGHT.-In sad and loving memory of my darling son, Corporal A. F. Bright, 1st Batt, B Company, an Anzac, killed in action, April 16, 1918, in his 24th year. Only his photo and letters, All that is left to me But my dear son who died for his country, Ever lives in my memory. Only some lines from the trenches, From the hand of an Anzac grown cold, But his name on the scroll in heaven Is graven in letters of gold. Sweet Jesus, have mercy on his soul. Inserted by his sorrowful parents, Alpha-road,  Willoughby, also brother (on active service).
BRIGHT.-In loving memory of my darling brother, Bert, who was killed in action at Strazeele, April 16, 1918. To-day as we gaze at your photo, In likeness so faithful and true, Oh how our hearts are aching And longing dear brother, for you. Inserted by his loving sister L. Bright, Somme, Alpha-road, Willoughby.
BRIGHT.-In sad and loving memory of our darling brother, Bert, 604, Cpl Albert Francis Bright, of 1st Batt., an Anzac killed in action at Strazeele, April 16, 1918, after 3 years 9 months' service. Sadly mourned by his sorrowing sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Jack Langhorne (returned) and his two little nephews, Maurice and Harry. Also in fond remembrance of my dear cousin, Harold Binn, killed in action, April I5. R.I.P.
BRIGHT.-In loving  emory of my dear brother, Cpl. A. F. Bright, killed in action in France April 16, 1918. Your death made me sad dear brother, I was sorrowed by your fall. For the parting with my brother Was the saddest day of all. But you died an Australian  soldier- Tis the greatest death of all. Inserted by his sorrowing brother and sister-in-law, Will and Emie.
