LAC Aiton 37177 from the Base Torpedo Unit at Nowra was seriously injured in a Motorcycle accident while off-duty in Nowra - he was taken to Number 3 RAAF Hospital (Concord Hospital) in Sydney where he passed away from his injuries
His pillion passenger was LAC Leslie John Maudie 37128 who was slightly injured in the accident
