Ronald Norrie Lyle ALEXANDER was born on 11th August, 1911 at Coraki, New South Wales
His parents were Edwin ALEXANDER and Sarah Emily MacLEAY who had married in 1899 in Lismore, NSW
He enlisted with the Australian Army as a Private on 3rd September, 1940 in Newcastle NSW and embarked with the 2nd/30th Battalion on 29th July, 1941 from Sydney on the ship HMT Johan Van Oldenbarnevelt. He was with D Company in the 18th Platoon
Ronald was Killed in Action in Malaya on 15th January, 1942 - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial, The Singapore Memorial & the Roll of Honour in Lismore, NSW
