Son of Sydney John ALLEN and Irene Mary ALLEN, 148 Moorabin Road, Mentone, Victoria.

Warrant Officer Allen 430349 (Air Gunner) died in Brighton, England - at the time he was attached to Number 11 Personnel Disposal & Reception Centre

Prior to his arrival at 11PDRC for repatriation to Australia at the end of the war in Europe he was posted to Number 53 (Operational) Base HQ at RAF Waddington.

He died on the beach at Brighton, after he became ill while bathing, and died shortly after coming out of the water.
