POW DIES IN MALAYA
Gunner C. J. (Jack) Archer, of the 4th Anti-tank Regiment, who died of illness while a prisoner of war in Malaya, was the only son of Mrs D. Thomas, of Finsbury st, Flemington, and the late Pte Frank Archer, a member of the First A.I.F, who was killed in action in 1917. He was employed by Victorian Railways before enlisting.
