RESTING WHERE NO SHADOWS FALL IN PERFECT PEACE HE AWAITS US ALL
News has been received by Mr and Mrs G. E. Bannister, 161 Annie Street, New Farm (formerly of Mackay), that their eldest son, Lieutenant George Bannister (27) was killed in action. He enlisted at the commencement of the war, was posted overseas on Christmas Day, 1940, and saw service in Syria
and Egypt.
