Ft/Lt. Barlow of 106 Squadron went down in a Lancaster 1 PD 214, which crashed and exploded on impact at 22.00 hours. Their target had been Bremen in northwestern Germany.
John Barlow had also served with the Naval Reserve between 1926-1931
He was a son to Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Barlow, and the husband of Edna Ema Barlow of Rockhampton in Queensland
