Maurice Hoare BARLOW was born on 1st October, 1923 in Brisbane, Queensland

His parents were James Leo BARLOW & Zita Margaret Mary BANFIELD

He enlisted with the Australian Army on 24th February, 1942 - he was with the Australian Citizens Military Forces, 4th Infantry Training Battalion (Lance Corporal)

Maurice accidentally drowned in the flooded Beardy River at Glen Innes, New South Wales and is buried in the Glen Innes Cemetery

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Roll of Honour in Brisbane
