Biography

Albert James Henry BAULCH was born on 25th July 1915 Bairnsdale, Victoria

His parents were James Henry BAULCH and Matilda CASEY

He married Vera Evelyn MOTT in 1937 in Victoria

Albert enlisted on 23rd Feb. 1942 with the 15 Field Regiment (Royal Australian Artillery) as a Bombardier

He died in a motor cycle accident on 27th June 1942 at Caversham and is buried in the Perth War Cemetery (part of Karrakatta Cemetery ) in Western Australia - his name is memorialised on the Roll of Honour in Portland, Victoria

The West Australian - 30th June , 1942

Dead Soldier Identified.  A soldier who was found dead in a pool of water near his motor cycle in Benari Rd. Caversham on Saturday night has yesterday been identified as Albert James Henry Baulch aged 26, married, formerly of Portland, Victoria.  Investigations made by the police revealed that the motor cycle struck a cow and that Baulch was thrown across the roadway. He was found lying face down in about 8 inches of water

FUNERAL NOTICE.

BAULCH .  The Friends of the late Bombardier Albert Baulch of the 15th Field Regiment AIF (Late of Victoria) are respectfully informed that his remains will be interred in the Salvation Army portion of the Karrakatta Cemetery at 3.40 oclock this wednesday afternoon
