Son of Harry Edward and Jessie Marion Bird of Shepparton, Victoria
Prisoner of War - On the 28 March 1943 he left Changi and embarked the S.S. DeKlek for Berhala Island which was opposite the Sanakan Harbour arriving of the 15 April 1943.
They were taken to Sandaan the followoing day and then transferred to 8 Mile Camp where he died while still prisoner
