Flying Officer Bishop 415890 from Number 2 Wireless & Gunnery School was killed in the loss of Wackett Trainer aircraft A3-104 near Bogan Road (Parkes, NSW)
Sergeant Jack Ronald Weir 416637 was severely injured in the incident - he was discharged from the RAAF in June 1944 from Number 5 Convalescent Depot
