His father Henry Voltaire BOWER (SN 388) enlisted in the Permanent Forces in Australia on 2nd August, 1915

His brother Voltaire Prince Melton BOWER (SN 32179) also served in the RAAF during WW2 and was discharged on 15th November, 1945 - Flight Sergeant with the 6 Aircraft Depot
