"...WX2296 Private Eric Edward Bowron, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Private Bowron, aged 28, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 20 May 1941. He was the son of James William and Amy Bowron, of Ballidu, WA.
