Son of William Lane Brine and Netta Gwendolyn Margaret Brine, of Mount Lawley, Western Australia.

The aircraft crashed in flames on 22nd June 1944, near Zwillbrock 15 kilmetres south west of Ahaus, Germany and exploded on impact with the ground.  The crew were killed with the exception  of the air bomber Flight Sergeant Sutton who escaped uninjured.
