Edgar Horsfall BUTTERFIELD was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England on 17th June 1889

His parents were Hollings BUTTERFIELD & Sarah Jane HORSFALL who married in Bradford in 1883

He married Selina (Lena) TEMPEST in Bradford, UK in 1906

He previously served as a Driver in the 326 Coy, Royal Army Service Corp. B & F in the British Army (WW1) before he came to Australia & enlisted to serve during WW2 in Swanbourne, Western Australia on 23rd April, 1941 and was with the Australian Infantry (ACMF) "M" Garrison Company Internment Camp in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia

Edgar died from Illness in Kalgoorlie District Hospital, WA on 11th July, 1942 and was interred in Kalgoorlie Civil Cemetery and later re-interred in Karrakatta Cemetery (Perth War Cemetery)
