Bertram Le Roy CAPORN was born in Wembley, Western Australia on 10th April, 1915

His parents were Bertram CAPORN & Martha Maria LAWSON who married in Leederville, WA on 4th August, 1909

He married Marguerita Alice JAMES in Perth, WA in 1941

Bertram previously served in the 10th Light Horse for 4 years from 23rd February, 1935 (SN VE/W229)

His brother Mervyn Hartley CAPORN (SN W83003) served in the 4th Battalion of the Volunteer Defence Corps during WW2
