Parents: - Edward George and Ivy Edith Mary Castle, of Tempe, New South Wales. Australia.
Court of Inquiry convened 14th to 19th October 1946 concluded, Private Percival Thomas Castle, at approximately 1740 hours on 12th October 1946 was electrocuted and died 4 hours later at 2140 hours at the European Hospital Rabaul. The accident was caused by Private Castle adjusting a piece of guttering attached to the roof, unaware the roof and guttering were electrified by a short circuit in the electrical installation.
