The details provided are taken from the book "1000 Men at War" the history of the 2nd/16th Infantry Battalion, published 1959, refer to page 93. Albert was born 28th Sep 1909 at Carlton Vic, and prior to the war he was a master builder of Victoria Park WA. He served with the 2nd/16th Inf Bn rising to the rank of Corporal. Unfortunately, he was Killed In Action 6th July 1941. Rest In Peace. Lest We Forget.
