Christopher John Cheesbrough was born on 21st October 1888 in Dewsbury Yorkshire in the United Kingdom.  

Christopher served with the British Artillery in France in WW1.

After the war he migrated to Denmark Western Australia arriving in Albany on the 22nd June 1922 aboard the former troopship Themistocles.

Prior to WW1 in Yorkshire Christopher was a bookkeeper and accountant.  After arriving in Denmark Western Australia he took up farming.

Prior to enlisting in the Australian Army in WW2 Christopher worked as a truck driver.

He died of illness in Perth on the 18th August 1942. He was interred in the Karrakatta Cemetery in 1942 and subsequently re-interred in the CWGC Perth War Cemetery on 29th March 1944.
