"...WX3337 Lieutenant Frank Lionel Clarke, 2/11th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Lieutenant Clarke, aged 32, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 24 May 1941. He was the son of Charles Lionel and Elvira Mary Clarke, of Burekup, WA. He is buried in the Suda Bay Cemetery Section 1, Row E, Plot 17..." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
