Son of Leon and Miriam Cohen of 82 Blessington Street, St Kilda, Victoria; brother of Maurice Cohen who also served

Plane was Liberator 111, A/C 'M' F4 539 which was lost near Nicobar Islands, India. It had taken off in the morning from Sigiriya  to perform photographic reconnaissance of the Northern Islands whne it was shot down by a Japanese aircraft
