Son of Thomas and Mabel Colgan; husband of Mary Lorraine Colgan, of Busselton, Western Australia.

HIS DUTY NOBLY DONE. A TREASURED AND LOVING HUSBAND AND FATHER

Notification has been received of the death of Pte. Patrick John ("Paddy") Colgan, which took place in the Middle East on November 6 last, as the result of wounds received whilst on active service. The  late Pte. Colgan, prior to enlistment, was a member of the staff of the local railways, and with his wife and family resided in Fairbairn Road. He was extremely popular with all with whom he came in  contact. For a number of years he was secretary to the Busselton Cricket Club, and was also well-known and much respected in local football circles. He leaves a wife and two young children, to mourn  their loss, and to whom the deepest sympathy is extended.

COLGAN. — Killed in action on November 6, 1942, at Alamein, Private Patrick John Colgan, beloved husband of Mary, father of Coral and Stan (Busselton), beloved son of Mrs. M. Colgan (Kalgoorlie), and loving brother of Eileen (Tasmania), Leslie and Stan (Kalgoorlie), and Lawrie (A.I.F.).
