Biography

Mortimer CORT was born on 24th May, 1897 in Leederville, Perth, Western Australia

His parents were Edward CORT and Margaret DAY

He enlisted with the Australian Army on 12th January, 1942 - Rank Private with the Australian Army Labour Service, A.C.M.F. 5 Coy.

He died on 9th September, 1942 at Northam, WA of Illness and is buried in Karrakatta Cemetery, WA - he is also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial and the Roll of Honour in Perth
