"Flight Sergeant Cyril J. Covill, younger son of Mr and Mrs B. Covill of Ashgrove, is reported to have been killed in an aircraft accident in England on January 31.

Flight Sergeant Cyril John Covill 426429 was killed when Miles Master AZ651 of Number 5 Advanced Flying Unit RAF crashed at Ridley Bank farm in Cheshire, England while on a solo training flight
