Sydney Everson CUMMINGS was born on 19th March, 1924 in Albany, Western Australia
His parents were Harold Everson CUMMINGS and Cecilia ARMSTRONG
His father Harold was born c. 1888 Sunderland, Durham England and died on 6th November, 1955 in Albany WA - He also served in WW1 after arrival in Australia
His mother Cecilia was born 1893 in Cumberland, England and married Harold in 1918 in Brampton, Cumberland, England - she died in 1956
He was living in Young Siding, W.A. & then enlisted in Fremantle on 30th June 1943 as a gunner with the 45 Heavy Anti Aircraft Battery - Unit left Fremantle on 13th December, 1943
Sydney died of head injuries accidentally received at Darwin on 23rd June 1944 and is buried in the Adelaide River War Cemetery, Northern Territory
He is listed on the Australian War Memorial & the Roll of Honour in Albany W.A.
