19 Sep 1940: Embarked AIF WW1, Sapper, Sapper of 2/6th Field Company RAE 25 Brigade - 7th Division. AIF. Jack sailed on the Queen Mary troop ship 19 September 1940. Jack was killed in action age 26 on 19 April 1941 at Mersa Matrih, Egypt and was buried at the El Alamein war cemetery in Egypt.
