Biography

Peter Robert Bodmer DANNE was born on  9th October 1922 in Maldon, Victoria

His parents were (Reverend) Noel Johnston DANNE (1890-1969) and Gladys Laura JOYCE (1893-1962)

He first joined up with the RAAF on 10th October 1941 and was discharged on 19th April, 1942 - Service no. 409783

He then enlisted on 27th April, 1942 in Abbotsford, Victoria with the 2/6 Cavalry Commando Squadron. -Service No. VX79529

Peter was Killed in Action on 5th July 1945 at Balikpapan. and is buried in Labuan War Cemetery, Malaysia - aged 22 years
