Flight Lieutenant Davies 400365 survived the crash of 460SQN Lancaster PB301 February 1945 and was taken POW by German forces

He was released at the end of the war in Europe and returned to the UK in May 1945 under the care of Number 11 (RAAF) PDRC [Personnel Despatch and Reception Centre] which occupied the Grand and Metropole Hotels in Brighton, Sussex, England

He died following a fall from a window at the Brighton Station Sick Quarters
