Son of John and Hannah Kavanagh, of Cuthbert, Albany, Western Australia
Private Patrick Kavanagh, aged 22, killed in action during October, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kavanagh, of "Eastwood." Pat was born at "Eastwood," and his life had been spent in the old home up to the time of enlisting. From his parents he inherited the strong plant of faith, which was ever a characteristic of the family, and trudging every day his seven miles to school, Pat would salute everyone with a smile. We sadly miss that smile now, and trust that the pluck which helped him to face the foe will help him to the land of angels bright and fair. Our sincere sympathy is tendered to his sorrowing parents
