Aircraftman Howard Herbert Delaine Mills 153740 & Sergeant Vincent Joseph Davoren 12405 were killed when the mobile crane they were operating touched high-power electrical lines at Number 1 Stores Depot in Sandridge, Victoria
Two airmen were injured: Leading Aircraftman Harold James Colley-Allerton 126075 - discharged in December 1944 & Aircraftman Theodorus Heywood Van Alkemade 157261 was discharged in January 1946

MELBOURNE. — When a mobile crane, which was lifting large cases, struck a high tension electric feeder line in Salman Street Port Melbourne, last night, two RAAF men were electrocuted, and two severely burned. Those killed were Sergeant Vincent Joseph Davoren, 30, Centennial Park, Sydney, and Aircraftman Howard Mills, 43, Parkside, South Australia.
Aircraftman Van Alkemedo, 18, Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, was admitted to an Air Force hospital in a dangerous condition.
The condition of Aircraftman H. C. Colley-Allerton, 32, Brunswick, Victoria, who was also burned was reported to be fair.
