John DE FAYE was born in Camberwell in Victoria on 1st January, 1917

His parents were Louis John DE FAYE & Claudine Maude THOMPSON who married in Victoria in 1911

He died in Borneo from Illness whilst a prisoner of war of the Japanese on 3rd January, 1945

His brother Clarence Lorrain DE FAYE (SN VX39938) also died as a Prisoner of War of the Japanese on 4th February, 1945
