Edgar Vincent DEARNALEY was born in Brisbane, Queensland on 29th October, 1921

His parents were Edgar Samuel DEARNALEY & Katie Rosina VINCENT who married in Queensland on 27th March, 1912

He enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Froce in Brisbane on 13th September, 1941

Edgar died in a Flying Battle in Germany on 22nd June, 1944 and is buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery

He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) in 1944 for attacks on a large number of well defended targets.

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial
