HIS DUTY NOBLY AND FEARLESSLY DONE. EVER LOVINGLY REMEMBERED
SERGT.-OBSERVER E. A. DEIGNAN, who lost his life in air operations in Tunisia, Africa on April 28. He is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Deignan, Boxleigh, Surat, and completed his training in Canada and England. Before Joining the R.A.A.F. he assisted his father in the grazing industry.
An only son and always keenly interested in aviation, he was a bright young man, well and popularly known in the Surat district and his death is greatly regretted by the whole community.
