Frederick Popham DESHON was born in Brisbane, Queensland on 29th August, 1916
His parents were Arthur Popham DESHON & Violet Brenda KING
He married Betty Phyllis PENNY in St Johns Cathedral in Brisbane on 13th July, 1940 - one known son, John Popham DESHON
He first enlisted in the CMF (SN 401593) as a Private with the 5th Field Regiment in 1939 before enlisting in the RAAF on 18th July 1942 - he embarked from Sydney for the UK on 25th May, 1943
Frederick died in an aircraft accident in Derbyshire, England on 21st January, 1944 & is buried in the Chester (Blacon) Cemetery
