Leonard Matthew DOHERTY was born in Rose Park, Adelaide on 26th Sepember, 1910

His parents were Matthew Leonard DOHERTY & Mary Ellen BURKE who married in South Australia on 5th March, 1908

Leonard was Killed in Action at Bougainville on 20th April, 1945 and is buried in the Bomana War Cemetery

He was awarded the Commander in Chiefs card for voluntary Army Medical research
