Soldier Killed In Rugby Game

SYDNEY, Thursday.— A game of Rugby, proved fatal to a member of the Defence Forces yesterday. He was Lieut. Ebenezer Herbert Duncan, 25 years, the game was between two Defence Force teams, and Duncan was tacked early by two other players, Although he was not dragged to the ground, it is believed that he struck his head on one of the tackler's knees. The impact of the blow fractured his skull, but he continued to play with his hand supporting his head. At half-time he was unable to carry on. At 5,30 he died from a fractured skull in a military hospital.
