Son of Charles Arthur Verney and Martha Jane Verney nee Parker of Market Street, Kensington, Victoria.
Commenced return to Australia on 26 February 1919 aboard SS Northbrook disembarking at Bombay on 5 March 1919 later embarked SS Janus on 23 March 1919 at Calcutta disembarking at Melbourne on 19 April 1919.
